Furnace Service

The Guy with 33 Years Experience Personally at Your Door

RooftopBefore cold fall nights set in, you need to schedule an appointment for your furnace’s annual maintenance checkup. Without this yearly inspection and cleaning, a furnace can wear out quickly, pump deadly carbon monoxide into your house, or simply quit operating altogether.

We asked Prescott Furnace Repair Service expert Leo Prescott about the proper steps that a heating service professional would follow for a gas forced-air furnace. In a furnace, the gas (natural or propane) is mixed with air and ignited, heating a sealed chamber (heat exchanger). Fresh, filtered air then circulates across the outside of the hot chamber and into the heating ducts. In all, the dangerous exhaust from the combustion chamber is vented out a flue stack to the outside.

Don’t wait until your furnace breaks down to call for repair service. A well maintained, clean, well-adjusted heating system, is safe, saves you money on gas and prolongs furnace life. Annual servicing is inexpensive – typically less than $70* – especially when compared with the cost of a new furnace. “You wouldn’t wait more than a year to service your car,” Leo says. “The furnace system in your home is just as important.”

*Cost of a basic furnace service.

Leo recommends (in addition to a basic service) a complete Prescott Furnace Service which includes a Combustion Analysis ($139) of flue gases for proper adjustment of fuel into the burners. This ensures optimal SAFETY, efficiency & reliability.
