Often times I find that when there is no cooling inside-blowing warm air, the problem lies with the outdoor air conditioning unit (Unless you have a package unit on the roof-then it’s all outside). With the thermostat set to cool and the temperature set well below the temperature within your home, head out to the outdoor condensing unit.

Is it running (is the fan spinning)? Can you make out the sound of the compressor running? If you do, pass your hand over the top of the unit. Do you feel air that is much warmer than the outside air? You should. If not, you need a professional to check it out.

Bad starting components are replaced to revive your air conditioner. Usually $250-$380.00 depending on what you have/need. Sure beats replacing the entire system for around $10,000.
